1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup plus 1 tbsp shortening
2-3 tbsp cold water
Measure flour, salt and shortening
in large mixer bowl; blend 1 minute on low speed. Scrape sides.
Add Tbsp water, one at a time just til flour is moist. You'll know
consistency....basically when it all glops on the beaters, about
10 seconds.
Gather all the dough and roll out on floured board for pie.
For double crust, just double the amounts.
For pre-baked shell.prick sides and bottom here and there with fork
and bake 475 for 8-10 minutes til golden. Cool before adding filling.
For double crust, follow your pie recipie.
