OATMEAL CAKE

CAKE: Pour boiling water over oats and let stand 15 to 20 minutes. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, mix - then add dry ingredients and oatmeal. Bake at 350.

TOPPING: Mix all topping ingredients and spread this mixture over hot cake and put under broiler for a few minutes to brown coconut. (If no cream, use canned milk or just plain milk but a little less plain milk.)
